Frances Michener, M.Sc. F.R.G.S.

Frances specialises in the delivery and management of The Challenge of Excellence 'Leading Teams' program. For nine years Frances was based with the CoE in the UK. Since moving back to her home town in California she continues to deliver this and other programs for the CoE. During her time in the UK Frances was also a Seminar Leader at the University of London, Birkbeck College in the Department of Management and Business Studies.

Frances was previously a director of an urban-based adventure leadership training program. In 1989 she was elected Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. In the US, Frances is program director of an environmental education program.

Since 1979, Frances led a number of mixed and all-women wilderness climbing expeditions. Her professional involvement has included nine years on the Executive Committee of the UK Association for Outdoor Learning.
